1.Numbers:

1 ~ 10: PinYin (pronunciation), Chinese writing (一 ~ 十), hand gesture/signal for fun, 
11 ~ 19: PinYin
10 ~ 90 (整十): PinYin, note the regular pattern is very different from French
Random numbers from 1 ~ 99: find the pattern.

Review activity: recognize the tones, practice saying the numbers quickly
Practice activity: Teacher says a number in Chinese or English, students reply in the other language

2. dates: Add PinYin and English definitions for each and every term, so students can pronounce the words while understanding the meaning and putting it to practical use

周: 周一 ~ 周日，周末周日，一周两周三周，星期=礼拜=周=week
月: 一月 ~ 十二月，几个月
年: 一年两年( not 二年), 十二生肖和年份，找到自己生肖 "我出生在__年“
前天昨天今天明天后天
