California Woman Confronts Pilots Over Cloud Seeding Operations

A California resident takes her fight against geoengineering directly to pilots conducting cloud seeding flights.

A Tuolumne County resident took matters into her own hands, confronting pilots at a local airport over ongoing cloud seeding operations she claims are affecting air and water quality in the region. The woman, who has spent years tracking cloud seeding flights, collecting rain samples, and filing official records requests, arrived at the airport at 1:30 a.m. to speak directly with the pilots she had tracked on flight radar conducting weather modification flights.

According to her account, she has been documenting the presence of heavy metals in rainfall samples following cloud seeding operations, alleging that substances beyond silver iodide—such as aluminum and zinc—are also being released into the atmosphere. Despite her efforts to raise concerns with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and local air pollution authorities, she claims her warnings have been ignored.

Confrontation at the Airport

After tracking the Beech C90 King Air aircraft, a common plane used for cloud seeding, the woman decided to act. She recruited a friend and drove to the airport, where she was eventually let inside to speak with the pilot.

“I was polite and direct,” she stated, adding that she hoped her actions would make pilots reconsider their involvement in weather modification programs.

She also identified Jody Fischer, a person she says has refused to respond to her calls, expressing frustration over what she perceives as a lack of transparency regarding the environmental impact of these operations.

Concerns Over Environmental and Health Impacts

The woman has previously investigated cloud seeding flights linked to Weather Modification International (WMI), a private company that contracts weather modification projects. She has connected these operations to extreme weather events, including a train derailment in Sonora that followed a period of intense cloud seeding activity.

She has also warned about potential health risks linked to the flares used in cloud seeding, which contain various chemicals.

A Call for Public Action

The confrontation is part of her broader efforts to raise awareness and hold officials accountable. She has applied to join the hearing board for the Tuolumne Air Pollution Control District and continues to push for public scrutiny of non-federal geoengineering experiments.

“Folks, YOU can do the same,” she urged others. “Take your concerns directly to the person responsible for the harms. It’s time we let them know that we are watching, we are concerned, and we want them to STOP.”

Her past investigations and activism have been documented in rain sample reports, interviews, and public records requests. She continues to monitor weather modification activities and encourages others to do the same.
