The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) released a second trove of documents related to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, fulfilling part of President Donald Trump’s executive order issued on January 23, 2025, which mandates the full declassification of all remaining materials tied to the assassinations of President Kennedy and his brother, Senator Robert F. Kennedy.

According to NARA, the second batch consists of more than 31,400 pages across 1,059 PDF files, following an earlier release of 32,000 pages in 1,123 PDFs on Wednesday. These records are part of the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection and can be accessed online at the National Archives’ official site for this release (JFK Release 2025) or in person at the agency’s College Park, Maryland location.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna confirmed the ongoing upload process on Tuesday, writing on social media: “Per DNI, there are still more docs being uploaded to archives website. They are scanning and uploading in real time. ALL documents can be viewed in person at the National Archives facility in College Park, Maryland if you don’t want to wait for them to be uploaded online.”

Luna also pointed to a specific document of interest—a CIA Inspector General report reportedly provided by whistleblowers, which she claimed alleged that the CIA hid information from Congress shortly after Kennedy’s assassination. “We were given this as a tip and there is actually a document we are currently tracking down,” she stated in a follow-up post. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard issued a public statement reinforcing the administration’s commitment to transparency. “President Donald J. Trump promised maximum transparency and a commitment to rebuild the trust of the American people in the Intelligence Community and federal agencies,” Gabbard said. She highlighted Executive Order 14176, which directs that “the continued redaction and withholding of information from records pertaining to the assassination of JFK is not consistent with the public interest and the release of these records is long overdue.”

Gabbard confirmed that her office had issued directives to all intelligence agencies to provide unredacted records to NARA for immediate release. “Starting today, the records will be available to access either online at archives.gov/fjfk, or in person, via hard copy or on analog media formats, accessible to the American people at National Archives at College Park, MD,” she said.

The records release reportedly totals approximately 80,000 pages of previously classified material, all published with no redactions. Gabbard noted that some records, specifically those under court seal, grand jury secrecy, or section 6103 of the Internal Revenue Code, require unsealing before public disclosure. She said the Department of Justice is working to expedite the process, with NARA prepared to release those documents immediately upon court direction.

Gabbard also confirmed that ongoing updates on the document uploads would be available through her official accounts on X (@DNIGabbard) and Truth Social (@DN/TulsiGabbard), as well as on the White House’s website.

President Trump’s order mandates full transparency and the publication of unredacted assassination records, with White House officials confirming that all files not protected by legal constraints will be made available to the public in the coming days.
