Amber Heard breaks silence on move to Spain, denies quitting Hollywood

Amber Heard is not saying “adiós” to Hollywood just yet.

The disgraced actress, 37, confirmed in a new video posted on TikTok that she is currently living in Spain – but still has film projects in the works.

“I love Spain so much,” she tells a local reporter in Spanish, with an accent similar to those native to the European country.

When asked if she plans to stay in Spain for long, the “Aquaman” star responds, “I hope so. I love living here.”

Heard then graciously tries to exit the ambush interview by telling the media team that it was a “pleasure” to meet them.

However, the reporter then asks one final question, inquiring about whether she has any film projects planned ahead to which the “Rum Diary” actress responds, “Oh, yes.”

“I keep moving forward,” she adds. “That’s life.”

Heard jetted off to Europe in September 2022, just three months after her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, won his defamation trial against her on June 1.

She was seen at the time on a trip to Palma de Mallorca with her daughter, Oonagh.

Since then, Heard and her toddler have been seen on several play dates around Spain.

It was then reported that the “Justice League” actress left showbiz for good.

The Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff claimed in an article published on May 4 that Heard’s friend said the actress “quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain.”

“She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise,” the journalist alleged a pal told her.

The insider reportedly pointed out though, that Heard, at the time, was not in “any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right, for the right project.”

In the meantime, Heard has not shied away from public attention.

Three weeks ago, the mother of one was seen signing autographs for a fan while out on a walk in Madrid.

Depp, for his part, has also capitalized on the resurgence that his highly publicized trial garnered.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star, 59, recently attended the Cannes Film Festival in France, where he received a seven-minute standing ovation for his performance as King Louis XV in the biographical drama “Jeanne Du Barry.”

During a press conference in Cannes, though, Depp said he had “no need” for Hollywood.

“Do I feel boycotted now?” the “Edward Scissorhands” star said earlier this month.

“No, not at all. But I don’t feel boycotted, because I don’t think about Hollywood. I don’t feel much further need for Hollywood.”
