FBI Director Kash Patel has publicly responded to Attorney General Pam Bondi’s letter demanding the full and unredacted release of Jeffrey Epstein’s case files, following allegations that the FBI withheld thousands of pages related to the late financier’s crimes.
Bondi’s letter, sent to Patel this week, claims that a whistleblower informed her that the FBI’s New York Field Office possesses thousands of pages of documents that were never disclosed to the Department of Justice (DOJ) despite repeated requests.
“Before you came into office, I requested the full and complete files related to Jeffrey Epstein,” Bondi wrote. “In response to this request, I received approximately 200 pages of documents, which consisted primarily of flight logs, Epstein’s list of contacts, and a list of victims’ names and phone numbers.”
However, Bondi says she later learned that the FBI withheld thousands of pages of evidence and did not inform her office of their existence.
A post from Benny Johnson on X (formerly Twitter) shared Bondi’s revelation:

FBI Director Kash Patel: ‘No Cover-Ups, No Missing Documents’
Responding to Bondi’s letter, FBI Director Kash Patel vowed to bring full transparency to the Epstein investigation, stating that “no stone will be left unturned.”
“The FBI is entering a new era—one that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned—and anyone from the prior or current Bureau who undermines this will be swiftly pursued.”

Patel went further, assuring that any gaps in records will be found and that if hidden files exist, they will be uncovered and submitted to the DOJ for full assessment.
“The oath we take is to the Constitution, and under my leadership, that promise will be upheld without compromise,” Patel wrote.
DOJ Releases First Phase of Epstein Files
Hours after Patel’s statement, the U.S. Department of Justice released the first phase of declassified Epstein files. Bondi had distributed binders of the documents to conservative media outlets earlier in the day.
“This Department of Justice is following through on President Trump’s commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators,” Bondi said. “The first phase of files released today sheds light on Epstein’s extensive network and begins to provide the public with long overdue accountability.”
Further declassifications of Epstein-related documents are expected in the coming weeks as Patel’s FBI and the DOJ continue the investigation into previously withheld materials.
