Elon Musk to Join Trump at Butler Rally Following Assassination Attempt

Elon Musk announced his support for Donald Trump and plans to attend the upcoming rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump survived an assassination attempt earlier this year.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, confirmed on October 3 that he will attend former President Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, this Saturday. The rally is set to take place at the Butler Farm Show, the same location where Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt in July. Musk announced his participation on X, the social media platform he owns, writing, “I will be there to support!”.

Trump’s rally marks the first time he has returned to the Butler venue since the incident in which a U.S. Secret Service agent shot and killed Thomas Crooks, the man authorities say tried to assassinate Trump. Musk previously voiced his support for Trump after the attempt, posting a video of the former president standing and raising his fist after surviving the attack. In the post, Musk expressed his admiration, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” he said, adding in a follow-up that the former president displayed the same resilience as Theodore Roosevelt.

Musk’s support for Trump has only grown since then. In a Thursday post, he reiterated that supporting Trump is “essential to saving America!”. His endorsements have been consistent in promoting Trump’s policies and his criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party.

The rally is expected to draw significant attention, not only because of Trump’s return to the site of the attempted assassination but also due to Musk’s presence. Security for the event is a priority, with the U.S. Secret Service announcing heightened measures to ensure the safety of all attendees.

A Secret Service spokesperson shared via email to The Epoch Times that the agency has “made comprehensive changes and enhancements to our communications capabilities, resourcing, and protective operations,” following the July incident. These measures include collaboration with Pennsylvania State Police, local law enforcement, and federal security resources for the upcoming event. The agency emphasized that details of security enhancements will remain confidential to maintain the integrity of their operations.

Trump, in an interview with NewsNation, acknowledged concerns about security at his rallies, saying, “we have to get better security,” and expressed ongoing caution about safety at large public events.

Despite these risks, Trump and Musk continue to attract widespread attention, with both public figures shaping much of the current political landscape. This weekend’s rally in Butler is set to be a critical moment for Trump’s campaign, bolstered by Musk’s high-profile endorsement.
