The name for the channel is inspired by Lanting Xu (蘭亭序 "Orchid Pavilion Preface"), one of the most classic pieces of Chinese calligraphy generally considered to be written by the well-known calligrapher Wang Xizhi from the Eastern Jin dynasty.
