An aspiring 15-year-old Rohingya refugee has constructed a small-scale hydraulic excavator from spare parts in his refugee camp.
一名有抱負的15歲羅興亞難民，利用難民營裡多餘的材料，建造出一台小型液壓挖土機。
"When I was in Myanmar I saw an excavator digging and thus I was inspired to make a toy like this excavator. After coming here to Bangladesh, I collected some small pieces of steel and I made different parts of it. To operate this toy I use water to run in injection syringes. I found that the syringes work to drive the toy both up and down, then I apply this mechanism to the toy," said Mohammad Toyub.
托尤布（Mohammad Toyub）：「當我在緬甸時，我看到一台挖土機在挖土，因此我受到啟發，製作了一個像這台挖土機玩具。來到孟加拉後，我收集了一些小的鋼材，製作了不同的零件。為了操作這個玩具，我用水和塑膠注射器當作驅動控制玩具。我發現注射器可以上下驅動玩具，於是我將這種機制應用於玩具上。」
Toyub only received a few years of rudimentary education in Myanmar before he and his family were forced to flee to Bangladesh in 2017. Since then, Toyub has only attended a few classes provided by UNICEF at his camp, but his schooling is currently on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
托尤布只在緬甸接受了幾年的初級教育，隨後他和家人於2017年被迫逃往孟加拉。從那時起，托尤布只在他的營地參加了幾門聯合國兒童基金會提供的課程。但由於COVID-19疫情，目前他的學業處於中斷狀態。
“Since he was small, he has always played with toys and tried to figure out how to make a mechanism like this that moves. I feel very happy seeing him doing this as he is also happy,” said Din Mohammad, Toyub’s father.
托尤布的父親(Din Mohammad)：「他從小就一直在玩玩具，並試圖弄清楚如何製作這樣一個可以會動的裝置。我很高興看到他這樣做，而且他也很高興。」
More than a million Rohingya are still living in squalid camps in southern Bangladesh comprising the world's largest refugee settlement. With little prospect of returning to Myanmar, they are mostly denied citizenship and other rights. The vast majority fled to neighbouring Bangladesh during a military crackdown in Myanmar in 2017. The United Nations has said that Myanmar carried out the crackdown with genocidal intent. Myanmar denies genocide, saying it was waging a legitimate campaign against insurgents who attacked police posts.
