The global "Kindness Is Cool" (#KindnessIsCool) and “Kindness Lights-Up Taiwan” (#善念點亮台灣) video awards organized by Gan Jing World came to a successful close. Many schools and teachers have carried out kindness-themed education activities for students on campus and within communities. The #KindnessisCool education activity attracted active participation and strong support from many schools and teachers from around the world. Most recently, Gan Jing World has launched Premium Channel, an exclusive offering to teachers, which establishes a classroom community for real-time interaction with students in a clean online space. The videos teachers have produced record and share students’ experiences participating in kindness-themed educational activities, showing the diverse interpretations of kindness across cultures.
1. Chinese Language Teaching Activities On the Theme of "Kindness"
Teacher Leejun Taylor from the World Languages Department of BH-BL Central Campus has established a channel of her own on Gan Jing World. She organized many educational activities, sharing how she teaches the language of Chinese, while leveraging the theme of kindness. Students learn while also sharing their understanding of kindness. In a Chinese character writing activity, she skillfully integrates kindness into her lesson plan.
2. Sharing Good Deeds in Community
Sharing good deeds in the community comes in many forms, such as praise, words of wisdom, bright smiles, big hugs, etc. These acts contribute joy and happiness to our collective community. In this activity, residents come out of their homes to gather in an activity to fill out cards with positive messages of kindness.

3. First Graders Understand Kindness and Compassion During Gardening Activities
A group of first-grade students participate in the kindness-themed activity of "Helping Others" each season. In winter, the children offer gift bags to the homeless. When winter turns to spring, they sow seeds, prepare fertilizer for garden planting, water plants and donate the yielded fruit to the food pantry.
4. Spreading Kindness Through Art
Any action, no matter how small, can positively impact those around you. For children, helping their parents with housework, sharing school supplies with classmates, or giving their parents a glass of water when they are tired are all very meaningful things. In addition, through art activities, children's creativity can convey the message that acts of kindness, no matter how small, are beautiful, precious, and "cool”! We hope that each work of art can inspire children and that each of us can spread the seeds of kindness in our daily actions.
5. Goodness-themed Essay Competition
The fourth-grade students of Xingxing Academy interpreted the meaning of "kindness" by writing kindness-themed articles in English class. Each student read their essays in class to share their insights.
6. Clothes-folding Competition Inspires Responsibility
In a clothes-folding competition, children gather to see who can fold clothes the fastest and best. In this activity, children's sense of responsibility is nourished.
7. Sharing Joy and Happiness With Orphaned Children
The Chandra Kumala school invited children from a local orphanage to play fun games, sharing joy and happiness. They participated in games such as duck racing, board games, treasure hunts, maze boards and riddles. The school provided prizes to the children for their efforts, encouraging honesty in game-play.
8. "Tea Ceremony" Parent-child Education Activity
Wenqi Art and Culture School is exploring an educational model that can not only teach the latest humanistic knowledge but also inherit traditional Chinese and Western values, cultivating young students who are kind, self-disciplined, tolerant, who can think independently, and be creative. They held many activities around the theme of "goodness" education. In this activity, children brought tea to their parents and respectfully invited them to drink it. Through a return to traditional ways of educating children, they used circle games, singing nursery rhymes, and other activities to inspire goodness within classroom lessons.
9. A Warm Journey of a Food Bank
Wenqi Art and Culture School organized a heartwarming tour of a local food bank around the theme of kindness education. The acts of kindness inspired and spread warmth and compassion to others.
10. The Kindness Quilt Warm Message Activity
The fifth-grade students of Xingxing Academy expressed their understanding of kindness in the warm message activity of making kindness quilts.
