SpaceX's Mechazilla HUGE TESTING "Robot chopstick, Booster & Ship QD". Starship 20 & B4 New update.
It happened! SpaceX's Mechazilla finally got some important testing. Notably, the Robot chopstick moved for the first time. Meanwhile, both Booster & Ship QD were extended.
Besides, Elon Musk just revealed some updates on Starship's latest design.
A start exactly like what Musk just tweeted: "Let’s make the roaring 20’s happen!"
So, what exactly is going on at Starbase in the first days of this year?
Let’s find out more in today’s episode of SpaceX Fans:
Welcome back to SpaceX Fans, don't forget to hit subscribe and turn on the notification feature to make sure that you won’t miss any interesting information about Elon Musk, SpaceX, or anything related to Space. Now let’s get back to today’s content.
Firstly, SpaceX Mechazilla awakened with a lot of tower testing recently!
At 10:30 pm on 2nd January, we saw the first test of the robot chopsticks: Going up about 5ft and then back down in about 15 minutes to make sure that the Automated Drawworks Systems, the cables, the pulleys, and all the systems working according to the plan.
This crazy moment was wonderfully captured by the LabPadre team. Big thanks to them! Keeping us all up to date with the latest Starbase activities. I can't wait to see the SpaceX team using this amazing mechanism to lift the Booster to the orbital launch mount and mount the ship on top of the booster, for now, let's not talk about the catching, and go step by step.
Meanwhile, it can be seen that SpaceX teams are removing scaffolding around the orbital launch tower. This is one of the last remaining items before Mechazilla can start performing curls with Booster4 and Ship20!! Looks likely they’ll test the loading points, test the conveyors for alignment, then lift Booster 4 back onto the Orbital Launch Mount without the crane next time! This is just my prediction.
Oh, talking about Booster 4, at the time we made this video, SpaceX is connecting Booster 4 to the big Liebherr LR 11000 again.
