Western Henry County is part of a tornado warning issue for part of northwest Tennessee after a potentially life-threatening tornado was confirmed by radar over the town of Sharon in Weakley County.
"At 11:48 a.m. CST, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was
located over Sharon, or 8 miles south of Martin, moving northeast at
50 mph," the warning said. The NWS advised people in the path of the storm to take cover immediately.
The warning remains in effect until 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Affected locations include McKenzie, Cottage Grove, Henry Routon, Puryear, and Henry in Henry County, as well as the counties of Weakley, Obion and Gibson
