2. Christoph Waltz

He is a renowned Austrian-German actor. His memorable role in "Inglourious Basterds" introduced him to international audiences. This performance earned him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival.

One of the reasons Quentin Tarantino's film garnered immense acclaim was its revisionist approach to history, transforming tragedy into inspiration by allowing Jewish soldiers to achieve cathartic vengeance. Waltz played a pivotal role in the film's success, with his villainous character exuding sophistication that made his senselessly cruel acts even more terrifying.

Regarded as one of Tarantino's finest, this intense and gripping interrogation scene showcases his mastery. The opening sequence presents a meticulously crafted and profoundly tense dialogue between the "Jew-Hunter" Hans Landa (portrayed by Christoph Waltz) and a courageous French dairy farmer who bravely shelters innocent Jews beneath his floorboards during the harrowing backdrop of World War II.

Since then, he has secured notable roles in significant films such as the James Bond franchise and "Django Unchained."  Portraying the bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz in "Django Unchained" (2012), which led to his second Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

In 2020, Waltz starred in the web series "Most Dangerous Game" and received his first Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. Currently, he is part of the cast of the Amazon Prime series "The Consultant" (2023). Additionally, Waltz has lent his voice to animated characters such as Mandrake in "Epic" (2013) and Count Volpe in Guillermo del Toro's "Pinocchio" (2022).

Throughout his career, Christoph Waltz boasts two Academy Awards, two British Academy Film Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards. Such international success even led to him hosting an episode of the popular US primetime TV show, "Saturday Night Live."
