The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

The Taiwanese NSB nabs a crooked Chinook pilot who was going to deliver the U.S. made helicopter to a Chinese Carrier.  The Chinese didn’t want the Chinook that bad, they wanted the optic and windfall of embarrassing Taiwan right before the January Taiwanese Elections.  Having a Field Grade Officer defect along with a major asset would have been front page news in Communist China and shaken Taiwan.

This is called a very very bad career decision for the Taiwanese Lieutenant Colonel.
