A recent survey conducted by Echelon Insights suggests that if Robert F. Kennedy Jr. runs as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential election, it could influence the race, benefiting former President Donald Trump and potentially affecting President Joe Biden’s chances.
In a preview of the survey’s findings, Trump holds a three-point lead over Biden in a head-to-head presidential matchup, with Trump at 46 percent and Biden at 43 percent nationally.
However, when Kennedy is introduced as an independent candidate, Trump’s lead expands to four points, with Trump at 40 percent and Biden at 36 percent.
Kennedy garners 14 percent support in this scenario, leaving ten percent undecided.
NEW FINDINGS: In our latest poll, we found that an Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would INCREASE Donald Trump's margin over Joe Biden by one point(!)

Digging deeper into the survey’s cross tabs reveals that Kennedy manages to secure 17 percent of Democrat-leaning voters while also gaining 11 percent among Republican-leaning voters.
This implies that Democrats are more adversely affected by Kennedy’s independent run compared to Republicans.
This survey comes at a time when Kennedy is preparing to exit the Democratic primary race and announce his independent candidacy for the presidency. An official announcement is rumored to take place on October 9th in Pennsylvania.

As previously reported by Breitbart News:
Sources within Kennedy’s campaign have suggested that he believes the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is altering rules to exclude his candidacy from the Democratic primary race. Consequently, he sees running as an independent candidate as the only viable option.
These statements align with Kennedy’s public remarks earlier, where he voiced concerns about the DNC’s efforts to limit his participation in the political process.
When questioned by a South Carolina voter about the possibility of an independent run, Kennedy responded, “I’m going to keep all my options open.”
Kennedy confirmed his intention to make a “major announcement” on October 9th in Philadelphia through a video statement posted online.
This move has raised concerns within the Democratic Party, with some, including Democrat National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison, warning about potential negative repercussions similar to those observed in previous third-party bids.
Harrison emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming election and cautioned against experimental or marginal political ventures.
Others have expressed worries that Kennedy’s independent bid could have a similar impact on Biden’s campaign as Jill Stein’s Green Party candidacy did during the 2016 election between Trump and Hillary Clinton.
In 2016, the Green Party played an outsized role in tipping the election to Donald Trump.
Now, with Cornel West as their likely nominee, they could easily do it again.

Previous surveys have also indicated that third-party bids, such as Cornel West’s, could harm the Democratic Party’s chances.
With Kennedy now poised to run as an independent, Democrats are increasingly alarmed about the potential consequences on the 2024 presidential race.
