DETROIT (NEWSnet/AP) — Stellantis is recalling nearly 1.2 million vehicles in the U.S. and Canada to fix a software glitch that can disable the rear-view camera.
The recall involves Jeep Compass, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs, 2022 and 2023 model years; Ram ProMaster vans (2022 and 2023); Ram 3500 chassis cabs; Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups (2022); Chrysler Pacifica (2021-23); Jeep Grand Cherokee L; and Dodge Durango (2021 and 2022).

A company investigation found radio software can cause shutdown of the camera.
Stellantis will provide an online software update. Owners should see a request to accept the update on their media screen. They also will receive recall notices in the mail.
The company says it has no reports of injuries or crashes.
