In Las Vegas, Nevada, the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership conference is set to take place, and it’s attracting significant political figures amidst the backdrop of ongoing events in Israel.
The newly-elected Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson (R-LA), will deliver the keynote address, marking his first major speech outside of Congress since assuming the role of Speaker.
Johnson will be joined by House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) at this high-profile event, which has already drawn presidential candidates and elected officials.
Former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence, who have transitioned from running mates to political rivals, are scheduled to speak at the conference. This appearance will mark the first time they share the same stage since the Trump-Pence administration ended.
Notably, all major presidential candidates are expected to take the stage. Vivek Ramaswamy, who has publicly opposed an Israeli invasion of Gaza following the devastating terror attack by Hamas on October 7,
may face a challenging reception. In contrast, Governor Ron DeSantis and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, known for their strong pro-Israel positions, are likely to be well-received. Additional speakers include Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Governor Doug Burgum of North Dakota, and former Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey.
The conference will also feature several other prominent conservative figures, including conservative radio host Mark Levin, former New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin, Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders, and more.
This annual event has become a significant campaign stop, allowing candidates to address committed pro-Israel conservatives within the Jewish community.
