EAST FISHKILL – A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction for East Fishkill Police Officer Daniel DiDato.

The 47-year-old Hopewell Junction man was killed in a car accident on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill on Monday, December 18 when his patrol car ran off the highway and struck a tree.

A graduate of John Jay High School and Dutchess Community College, he served on the town police force for 19 years.

DiDatto is survived by his parents Robert and Edvige DiDato of Hopewell Junction, and two brothers, Robert and Marak.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at John Jay High School.
