Sanity check – Biden is conditioning Americans to think $3.50 for a gallon gas, or milk is good and 300 illegal aliens breaking into our home through one small area in Texas is an acceptable level. @Border911Live https://t.co/3XzPg7jSRz

According to Scott, his candid assessments of policy impacts led to his reassignment and ultimately his decision to retire early from the agency. This move allowed him to speak freely about the border crisis without the threat of reprisal.

Additionally, Scott touched on the role of the Mexican government in managing the migrant flow, noting improvements in reducing criminality when Mexico enforces its laws. However, he expressed concern over reliance on Mexico for border security, arguing that it compromises U.S. sovereignty by allowing external forces to influence who enters the country.

The former chief also commented on the strategic choice of Biden’s visit location, suggesting that areas with lower migrant crossing rates were selected to avoid highlighting the scale of the crisis. Scott further criticized Senate legislation for allocating funds to NGOs involved in migrant support, implying that it doesn’t address the root issues of border security.

In contrast, during a visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, former President Donald Trump and National Border Patrol Council Brandon Judd portrayed the situation at the border as dire, with Judd highlighting the frustration among agents over the administration’s approach. Trump framed the border situation as a “Joe Biden invasion,” underscoring the political divisions surrounding U.S. border policy.
