High Vibrational Foods – How to Raise Your Frequency, Naturally

High Vibrational Foods – How to Raise Your Frequency, Naturally

How often do you enjoy high vibrational foods? So many of us are concerned about our diet, yet it seems like we’re all focused on something different — making it difficult to dine out with friends, let alone host a party. What if there were a way to tie all our hopes of healthy eating into a few basic guidelines? What if we didn’t need to be rigid or extreme, but could make gradual, simple adjustments which would have a big impact that reinforced better eating habits? What if we start talking about food vibrations?

What are food vibrations?

If you made it through high school physics, you probably understand that, at a microscopic level, everything is in motion. Be it metal, wood, water or the human body, everything has its natural frequency at which it vibrates. Of course, this is invisible to the eye, but scientific instruments that can measure vibrational frequencies have found that a healthy human body normally vibrates at a relatively high rate of 65 – 75 MHz.

You’ve also heard the saying, “you are what you eat.” Of course, this doesn’t mean that if you eat vegetables you are a vegetable; it just means that our eating choices impact the way we feel emotionally, our physical energy, and our overall health. This has been demonstrated in scientific tests and experiments; yet there are probably a dozen different diets doling out contradictory information: “Don’t eat fat! Don’t eat grains! Don’t eat dairy! Don’t eat sweets!” leaving one frustrated and bewildered, “What should I eat?”

The answer may be found in the concept of resonance. Resonance is when vibrational energy is transferred from one object to another — but it only occurs when object number one is vibrating at the natural frequency of object number two. So, it stands to reason that if you consume more foods that vibrate within your natural range for optimal health, your body will resonate with vibrant energy. Consuming foods that vibrate outside that range, on the other hand, causes dissonance —  which can make us feel agitated, anxious, sluggish, unfocused, fatigued, or even depressed.

To cement this concept, positive feelings like altruism, gratitude and love have high vibrational energy; while negative emotions like jealousy, resentment and sadness have low vibrational energy. We all know that when we feel good emotionally, we also feel better physically. When we embark on a spiritual path, we aim to purify our hearts to open a connection with the Divine, so we gradually release all those negative thoughts and emotions. If we also become selective about the energy we are consuming, the holistic healing effects can be profound.

Assessing food vibrations

So we want to eat foods that match our natural vibration; but if we can’t see the vibrations, how do we know which ones are resonant and which are dissonant? Try to think of food in terms of quality rather than quantity, life rather than calories, and basic rather than elaborate.

For example, fresh fruits and vegetables are full of life, energy, and nutrition — they vibrate at a high frequency. Heavily-processed foods are dead and stripped of their nutrition — they vibrate at a very low frequency. Plant foods are closer to the source of energy (high frequency), while animal products are a step or two away from the source (lower frequency.) Raw and fermented foods are more alive (high frequency) than cooked foods.

It may be no surprise that organically-grown foods have a higher frequency than those grown with chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and locally grown foods are fresher (higher frequency) than those shipped half-way around the world. Food that was prepared with love and care also has a higher frequency than factory-processed or fast-food items; and last but not least, food that is consumed with gratitude and mindfulness will have a higher vibration than that consumed with haste or distaste.

Of course, this is not to say we should all become raw-food vegans that eat out of our own backyards — far from it. In order to obtain the full spectrum of necessary nutrients we must maintain diversity in our diets. Considering food vibrations is simply a guide to help us make healthy choices on a sliding scale. It is a forgiving approach to food where you can enjoy most foods in moderation, opting more for those that resonate, and less for those that don’t.

Understanding low-vibrational foods

Unfortunately, low-vibrational foods are all around us. They are convenient, somewhat addictive, and kind of hard to avoid. Fast food, junk food, processed meats, refined sugar and white flour are offered at almost any gathering, not to mention coffee and alcohol. These foods rob you of energy because they offer little or no nutrition and are hard for your body to process.

Low-vibrational foods tend to spike and crash your blood sugar levels, dismantle your delicately balanced gut biome, and tax your system with toxins (artificial colors, flavors and hormones, pesticides, and preservatives to name a few). A diet high in low-vibrational foods can lead to addictions, anxiety, cravings, digestive issues, fatigue, low energy, inflammation and irritability. So why do we eat them?

As one of the largest industries in the world, industrialized food spends tons of money — not just on advertising — but also on carefully engineering food that triggers positive feedback from our brains, even though it offers little for our bodies. Because these things taste good but lack nutrition, we keep going back for more of that short-term satisfaction, without realizing the disastrous long-term effects.

We are also under the false impression that healthy food is too expensive. In fact, in a study examining the effects of dietary changes with clinically depressed individuals, the participants discovered that opting for more natural, unprocessed foods actually saved them money — not to mention the lowered medical costs as their health improved.

Transitioning to high vibrational foods

Moving towards high vibrational foods doesn’t have to be painful, or even difficult. Don’t think of it as omitting foods from your diet (which feels like loss), but as replacing them with more wholesome options (which feels like an adventure)! Transition one thing at a time, and give yourself a month to get used to it before adding something new.

For instance, if you like to have a bag of chips with your lunch, try swapping them out for carrot or celery sticks (still crunchy, lots more nutrition, fraction of the cost). If you’re a big coffee drinker, next month try to cut back to one cup a day; or, if you’re only having one cup already, swap it out for green tea or an herbal coffee substitute. Say you’re accustomed to eating on the go; for the third month you could start reserving one meal a day for sitting down and really enjoying your food.

It doesn’t need to go in any particular order — just tackle what you are ready for. You’ll slip up sometimes, but don’t beat yourself up over it. The idea is to get used to eating more energized food, not to force limitations on yourself.

Continue on like this, perhaps introducing fresh fruit in place of desserts the following month. After that, start replacing low-nutrition starches with whole grain options. If you love dairy, spend one month sourcing some quality grass-fed and organic products. They might cost a little more, but you’re worth it. If you frequent fast food joints, you may want to spend a couple months learning to prepare simple meals at home.

By the end of 12 months you will have completely changed your diet. If you document the process, you can look back and see how far you’ve come, and you’ll likely be inspired to continue.

Because low vibrational food is so ubiquitous, it would be impossible to avoid it completely in this day and age; but if all of us moved towards higher vibrational foods, the whole situation could change. As we raise our frequency, we will find that lower vibrational foods no longer appeal to us, and a collective consciousness that was not tied to low vibrational foods might have the mighty power necessary to shake up the big food industry. Wouldn’t it be nice?
