Everytown for Gun Safety launched an ad spend two weeks before Election Day targeting conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel.
In March, two weeks before the April 1 election, Everytown for Gun Safety jumped into the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. The radical anti-gun rights group is spending $600,000 on an advertisement targeting former attorney general and Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel—a staunch defender of the Second Amendment.
The gun control activist group, backed by leftist mega-donor Michael Bloomberg, labeled Schimel an “extremist” for his commitment to upholding Americans’ constitutional rights, particularly the individual right to bear arms. Since 2013, Everytown has actively lobbied against the Second Amendment while advocating for Obama-era gun control policies that expand federal authority and restrict firearm rights.
“Everytown will ensure Wisconsinites have the facts about Schimel’s extremist agenda and the threat he poses to the health, safety, and freedom of their communities,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety.
While Everytown is campaigning against Schimel, the group has not formally endorsed his leftist opponent, Susan Crawford. However, Crawford has received endorsements from a long list of “progressive” organizations, including teachers’ unions, transgender activist groups, Planned Parenthood, and other radical abortion organizations—even Madison’s open-borders sheriff.
The April 1 election will determine who replaces outgoing liberal Justice Anne Walsh Bradley and will shape the ideological balance of the high court.

Schimel: A Defender of the Second Amendment
Everytown’s attack ad against Schimel speaks volumes—he is a firm advocate for protecting the Second Amendment against ongoing assaults, a position that infuriates the Left.
Schimel has received the endorsement of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and holds an A+ rating, the highest possible grade, for his “unwavering defense” of the right to bear arms.
“Brad Schimel is an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen in Wisconsin,” said John Commerford, NRA-PVF Chairman. “As Attorney General, he consistently and continuously defended constitutional freedoms, especially the individual right to keep and bear arms.”
Schimel is also backed by the Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association, which believes he represents the values of Wisconsin’s hunting community and the broader principles of individual liberty.
“Judge Schimel has a long-standing record of standing up for the rights of hunters, sportsmen, and all those who cherish Wisconsin’s outdoor heritage,” the group stated in its endorsement. “His commitment to the rule of law ensures that our freedoms—particularly our Second Amendment rights—are not only protected today but preserved for future generations.”
Brad Schimel’s election would guarantee that the Second Amendment rights of Wisconsin residents remain safeguarded against attacks by extremist billionaires from out of state.
