ROSCOE – The new district formed when voters in the Livingston Manor and Roscoe central school districts approved a merger now has an official name.
The combined board of education has approved Rockland Central School District as the new district’s name.
The decision followed the gathering of input from the community and students and separate contacts earlier in the month.
The board also voted to have one voting location, which will be at the Livingston Manor school gymnasium.
The next meeting of the board will be a special meeting at 6 p.m. March 27 at Livingston Manor to nominate a community member from the Rockland Central School District to serve on the Sullivan BOCES Board.
