Splashdown is expected at 5:57 p.m. EDT, concluding a mission that saw the astronauts temporarily stranded aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

Following the return, NASA has announced a ‘Return-to-Earth media conference’ to be held at 7:30 p.m. EDT on NASA+. The conference will feature key figures involved in the mission: Joel Montalbano from NASA’s Space Operations Mission Directorate, Steve Stich from NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, Bill Spetch from NASA’s International Space Station Program, and Sarah Walker from SpaceX’s Dragon Mission Management.
The Freedom capsule’s return marks a significant milestone in SpaceX’s ongoing partnership with NASA, which includes routine crew rotations to and from the ISS under the Commercial Crew Program.
