Musk warns that entitlement fraud is funding benefits for illegal immigrants to secure votes, calling it a threat to U.S. democracy.

Elon Musk alleged this week that Democrats are using an estimated $200 billion in taxpayer funds to support illegal immigrants as part of a strategy to sway elections in their favor. Speaking on The Verdict podcast with U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and Ben Ferguson, Musk claimed that federal benefits distributed through fraudulent entitlements are being used to secure Democratic dominance in swing states and beyond.
“The single biggest thing that they’re worried about is that DOGE is going to turn off fraudulent payments of entitlements. I mean, everything from Social Security, Medicare, unemployment, disability, Small Business Administration loans, turn them off to illegals. This is the crux of the matter. Okay, this is the thing, why they really hate my guts and want me to die,” Musk said, referring to President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Musk accused Democrats of exploiting entitlement programs to attract and retain large numbers of illegal immigrants in the United States, estimating the financial impact on taxpayers at $200 billion. “By using entitlement fraud, the Democrats have been able to attract and retain vast numbers of illegal immigrants,” Musk stated.
He explained that the alleged strategy is designed to alter the electoral landscape. “If Democrats can bring 200,000 illegals into a swing state that has a right-left voting margin of 10,000 or 20,000, and get them voting, that state no longer is a swing state,” Musk said, adding that the ultimate goal is to shift the balance of power permanently. “And the Dems will win all the swing states just a matter of time, and America will be permanent, deep, blue, socialist state, the House, the Senate, the presidency and the Supreme Court will all go hardcore Dem.”
Musk also told Verdict listeners that DOGE has uncovered substantial evidence of fraudulent payments being channeled through left-wing NGOs. “We’re clearly over the target. If DOGE was ineffective, if we were not actually getting rid of a bunch of waste and fraud… the fraud we’re seeing is overwhelmingly on the left. I mean, it’s not zero on the right, but these NGOs are almost all left-wing NGOs that are being funded,” he said.
In a report from Paul Bedard, Musk emphasized that Democrats’ strategy involves leveraging government funds to “buy voters, exactly… Bring in 10, 20 million people who are beholden to the Democrats for government handouts and will vote overwhelmingly Democrat.”
Musk warned that if the trend continues, Republicans and others opposing the scheme will find it impossible to reverse course through democratic means. “They will then further cement that by bringing even more aliens so you can’t vote your way out of it,” Musk concluded.
