Ashby Free Public Library to host Carnival!

ASHBY — Get ready for a day of fun, games, and community spirit as the Ashby Free Public Library hosts its first-ever Spring Carnival. The carnival will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at the library, located at 812 Main St.

Ashby Free Public Library Director Heather Brodie Perry is excited about this first-time event.

“The Ashby Free Public Library is thrilled to host it’s first-ever Carnival, a lively and fun-filled event dreamed up by Kate Ravellette of Rainbow’s End Apiary and the Artisan’s Market,” said Perry. “Designed to brighten the slow late-winter season, this exciting celebration will bring the community together while supporting both local artisans and the Friends of the Library.”

Featuring over 30 artisans and vendors, guests will have the opportunity to browse an incredible selection of locally made goods, from maple syrup and honey to handcrafted leather, unique spices, books by local authors, and one-of-a-kind crafts.

“Whether you are looking for a special gift or a delicious treat, you’ll find something to love,” Perry said.

The carnival will also feature games with prizes, crafts for the children, and face painting.

“Your little one will be transformed into their favorite character with colorful face painting, have a chance to win prizes at our classic carnival games, and get creative at the craft station,” Perry added. “No one will go home empty-handed – every player is a winner!

Indulge in cotton candy, popcorn, fresh-baked goodies, and more, along with Candy & Bake Shop, donated by Rainbow’s End Apiary, with proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Ashby Free Public Library and support future library programs.

The Ashby Free Public Library will also have library merchandise for sale to show off your community spirit.

“The collaboration with Rainbow’s End Apiary has been a fantastic benefit for the library,” Perry said. “Our patrons love their bee presentations and honey samples, and the artisan markets we’ve hosted together have been a huge success. We are looking forward to making this carnival a new tradition – one of joy, laughter, magic, and unforgettable memories.”
