Princess Diary catapulted Anne Hathaway to stardom, and this movie has become a slumber-party classic for young girls. It's a classic tale of the ugly duckling of a girl named Mia, who discovers she is the apparent heir to the tiny European kingdom. Like many young girls, I love this movie.
The beginning of the film clearly depicts the innocent and clumsy personality of the princess. You'll find her falling all the time as she learns to carry herself with the grace and poise to befit a royal. One error scene that I find quite interesting is Mia was dancing in the stands in the rain at her private school with her best friend.
Mia says in the scene:"... look just right, remember" and then she has a pretty nasty tumble. I was awwww!!! Was Anna Hathaway or a stuntman?
It's actually Hathaway. Hathaway actually slipped and fell hard. But it fits so well with the character's clumsiness that it is preserved in the finished film.
