The U.S. House Committee on Agriculture is a standing committee of the United States House of Representatives. The Committee has general jurisdiction of federal agriculture policy and oversight of some federal agencies, as well as responsibility for recommending funding appropriations for various governmental agencies, programs, and activities, as defined by House rules. We address issues as varied as renewable energy, rural development, crop insurance, futures market regulation, agricultural research and development, and many others.
